وَمَنْ يَّكْسِبْ خَطِيْۤـَٔةً اَوْ اِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهٖ بَرِيْۤـًٔا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَّاِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا ࣖ   ( النساء: ١١٢ )

خَطِيٓـَٔةً
a fault
aw
أَوْ
or
ith'man
إِثْمًا
a sin
thumma
ثُمَّ
then
yarmi
يَرْمِ
throws
bihi
بِهِۦ
it
barīan
بَرِيٓـًٔا
(on) an innocent
faqadi
فَقَدِ
then surely
iḥ'tamala
ٱحْتَمَلَ
he (has) burdened (himself)
buh'tānan
بُهْتَٰنًا
(with) a slander
wa-ith'man
وَإِثْمًا
and a sin
mubīnan
مُّبِينًا
manifest

Wa mai yaksib khateee'atan aw isman summa yarmi bihee bareee'an faqadih tamala buhtaananw wa ismam mubeenaa (an-Nisāʾ 4:112)

Sahih International:

But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin. (An-Nisa [4] : 112)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Whoever commits a vice or a sin, then shifts its blame to an innocent person, he indeed takes the burden of a false imputation and a glaring sin.
