Ghafir Verse 36

Pharaoh ordered, “O Hamân! Build me a high tower so I may reach the pathways

Pharaoh said, “O Hāmān, build a tower for me so that I may reach the pathways –

Pharaoh said, 'Haman, build for me a tower, that haply so I may reach the cords,

Pharaoh said, ‘Haman, build me a tall tower so that I may reach the ropes that lead

And Fir'awn said: O Haman! build for me a tower that haply I may reach the ways of access

Pharaoh said; "O Haman! Build me a lofty palace, that I may attain the ways and means-

Pharaoh said: “Haman, build for me a lofty tower that I may scale the highways --

The Pharaoh said: "O Haman, build me a lofty tower that I may perhaps find the means

And said Firaun, “O Haman! Build a high palace for me, in order that I may reach the routes.” –

Pharaoh said, ‘O Haman! Build me a tower so that I may reach the routes

The Pharaoh said: "O Haman! Build me a lofty tower so that I may attain the ways,

And Pharaoh said, `O Hâmân! build for me a lofty tower that I may find access to the means -

And Pharaoh said: "You Haman , build/construct a palace/towering building for me, maybe/perhaps I reach the reasons/motives ."

And said Firaun, “O Haman! Build a high palace for me, in order that I may reach the routes.” -

And Pharaoh said, "O Haman! Build for me a tower that I may attain the ways and means,

And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O Haman! Build me a tower that I may arrive at the ways,

Those who dispute concerning the messages of Allah without any authority that has come to them. Greatly hated is it by Allah and by those who believe. Thus does Allah seal every heart, of a proud, haughty one.

And Firon said: O Haman! build for me a tower that I may attain the means of access,

And Pharaoh said: O Haman! Build for me a tower that haply I may reach the roads,

Pharaoh said, "Haman, build a tower of baked bricks for me so that I shall have access.

Pharaoh said: 'Haman, build me a tower that I can reach the ways,

And Fir`awn said: "O Haman! Build me a lofty tower that I may arrive at the ways --

Pharaoh said, "O Haman, build for me a lofty building so that I may gain access

And Pharaoh said, “O Hamaan, build me a tower, that I may reach the pathways.

And Pharaoh said, `O Hmn! Build for me a tower, a lofty edifice, that perhaps I may reach the routes --

How Fir`awn mocked the Lord of Musa

Allah tells,

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا هَامَانُ ابْنِ لِي صَرْحًا

And Fir`awn said;"O Haman! Build me a lofty tower

Allah tells us of the arrogant and hostile defiance of Fir`awn and his rejection of Musa, when he commanded his minister Haman to build him a tower, i.e., a tall, high, strong fortress. He built it of bricks made from baked clay, as Allah says;

فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَهَـمَـنُ عَلَى الطِّينِ فَاجْعَل لِّى صَرْحاً

So kindle for me (a fire), O Haman, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a lofty tower. (28;38)

لَّعَلِّي أَبْلُغُ الاَْسْبَابَ
