قَالُوْٓا اَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ اٰلِهَتِنَاۚ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ ( الأحقاف: ٢٢ )

قَالُوٓا۟
They said
aji'tanā
أَجِئْتَنَا
"Have you come to us
litafikanā
لِتَأْفِكَنَا
to turn us away
ʿan
عَنْ
from
ālihatinā
ءَالِهَتِنَا
our gods?
fatinā
فَأْتِنَا
Then bring us
bimā
بِمَا
what
taʿidunā
تَعِدُنَآ
you threaten us
in
إِن
if
kunta
كُنتَ
you are
mina
مِنَ
of
l-ṣādiqīna
ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
the truthful"
Qaaloo aji'tanaa litaa fikanaa 'an aalihatinaa faatinaa bimaa ta'idunaaa in kunta minas saadiqeen (al-ʾAḥq̈āf 46:22)
Sahih International:
They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful." (Al-Ahqaf [46] : 22)
1 Mufti Taqi Usmani
They said, “Have you come to make us deviate from our gods? So bring us that with which you are threatening us, if you are truthful.”
