مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِّنْ لِّيْنَةٍ اَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوْهَا قَاۤىِٕمَةً عَلٰٓى اُصُوْلِهَا فَبِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِيُخْزِيَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ   ( الحشر: ٥ )

عَلَىٰٓ

uṣūlihā
أُصُولِهَا
their roots
fabi-idh'ni
فَبِإِذْنِ
it (was) by the permission
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
waliyukh'ziya
وَلِيُخْزِىَ
and that He may disgrace
l-fāsiqīna
ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
the defiantly disobedient

Maa qata'tum mil leenatin aw taraktumoohaa qaaa'imatan'alaaa usoolihaa fabi iznil laahi wa liyukhziyal faasiqeen (al-Ḥašr 59:5)

Sahih International:

Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks – it was by permission of Allah and so He would disgrace the defiantly disobedient. (Al-Hashr [59] : 5)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

Whatever palm-trees you have cut down, or have left them standing on their roots, it was with Allah’s permission, and so that He might disgrace the transgressors.
