Sahih International:

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.

1 A. J. Arberry

With Him are the keys of the Unseen; none knows them but He. He knows what is in land and sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. Not a grain in the earth's shadows, not a thing, fresh or withered, but it is in a Book Manifest.

2 Abdul Haleem

He has the keys to the unseen: no one knows them but Him. He knows all that is in the land and sea. No leaf falls without His knowledge, nor is there a single grain in the darkness of the earth, or anything, fresh or withered, that is not written in a clear Record.

3 Abdul Majid Daryabadi

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knoweth them but he. And He knoweth whatsoever is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but he knoweth it, nor a seed-grain groweth in the darkness of the earth, nor aught of fresh or dry but is in a Book luminous.

4 Abdullah Yusuf Ali

With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge; there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).

5 Abul Ala Maududi

He has the keys to the realm that lies beyond the reach of human perception; none knows them but He. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea; there is not a leaf which falls that He does not know about and there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything green or dry which has not been recorded in a Clear Book.

6 Ahmed Ali

He has the keys of the Unknown. No one but He has knowledge; He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls without His knowledge, nor a grain in the darkest (recess) of the earth, nor any thing green or seared that is not recorded in the open book (of nature).

7 Ahmed Raza Khan

And it is He Who has the keys of the hidden – only He knows them; and He knows all that is in the land and the sea; and no leaf falls but He knows it – and there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything wet or dry, which is not recorded in a clear Book.

8 Ali Quli Qarai

With Him are the treasures of the Unseen; no one knows them except Him. He knows whatever there is in land and sea. No leaf falls without His knowing it, nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or withered but it is in a manifest Book.

9 Ali Ünal

With Him are the keys to the Unseen; none knows them but He. And He knows whatever is on land and in the sea; and not a leaf falls but He knows it; and neither is there a grain in the dark layers of earth, nor anything green or dry, but is (recorded) in a Manifest Book.

10 Amatul Rahman Omar

All the treasures of the unseen lie at His disposal. No one knows them but He; He knows whatsoever is in the land and in the sea. There falls not a single leaf but He knows it, nor is there a grain in the dark beds of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry but all is recorded in a clear book (-in God´s perfect knowledge).

11 English Literal

And at Him (are) the unseen`s/absent`s/super natural`s keys/treasures, no (one) knows it except He, and He knows what (is) in the land/shore and the sea/ocean , and (nothing) from a leaf/piece of paper does not fall/drop except He knows it, and nor a seed/grain in the earth`s darknesses and nor soft/ripe , and nor dry (hard) except (it is documented) in (an) evident Book .

12 Faridul Haque

And it is He Who has the keys of the hidden - only He knows them; and He knows all that is in the land and the sea; and no leaf falls but He knows it - and there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything wet or dry, which is not recorded in a clear Book.

13 Hamid S. Aziz

He it is who gathers you to Himself at night, and knows what you have committed in the day; then He raises you up again, that your appointed time may be fulfiled; in the end unto Him is your return, and then will He inform you of the truth of what you have done.

14 Hilali & Khan

And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in (or on) the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.

15 Maulana Mohammad Ali

Say: If that which you would hasten were with me, the matter would have certainly been decided between you and me. And Allah best knows the wrongdoers.

16 Mohammad Habib Shakir

17 Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall

And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.

18 Muhammad Sarwar

He has with Him the keys to the unseen which no one knows besides Him. He knows all that is in the land and the sea. Not a single leaf falls which He would not know. No single seed exists even in the darkest places of the land, nor anything in the world either wet or dry, that is not kept recorded in the self-evident Book (the tablet preserved in the heavens).

19 Qaribullah & Darwish

21 Wahiduddin Khan

23 Tafsir jalalayn

And with Him, exalted be He, are the keys of the Unseen, its treasure houses, or the paths that lead to knowledge of it; none but He knows them, and these are the five things mentioned in His saying; Surely God, He has knowledge of the Hour [and He sends down the rain and He knows what is in the wombs. And no soul knows what it has earned for the morrow; nor does any soul know in what land it will die. Truly God is Knowing, Aware, Q. 31;34], as reported by al-Bukhr. He knows what is, happening, on land, [in] the deserts, and in the waters, [in] the towns along the rivers; and not a leaf (min waraqatin; min is extra) falls, but He knows it. Not a grain in the shadows of the earth, nothing of wet or dry ([this entire clause] wa-l habbatin f zulumti l-ardi wa-l ratbin wa-l ybisin is a supplement to waraqatin, `a leaf') but it is in a clear book, namely, the Preserved Tablet (al-lawh al-mahfz). The exceptive clause [ill f kitbin mubn, `but it is in a clear book'] constitutes an inclusive substitution for the previous exceptive clause [ill ya`lamuh, `but He knows it'].

24 Tafseer Ibn Kathir

And with Him are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He.

Al-Bukhari recorded that Salim bin Abdullah said that his father said that the Messenger of Allah said,

The keys of the Unseen are five and none except Allah knows them;

Verily, Allah! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour,

He sends down the rain,

and knows that which is in the wombs.

No person knows what he will earn tomorrow,

and no person knows in what land he will die.

Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware." (31;34)

Allah's statement,

And He knows whatever there is on the land and in the sea;

means, Allah's honored knowledge encompasses everything, including the creatures living in the sea and on land, and none of it, not even the weight of an atom on earth or in heaven, ever escapes His knowledge.

Allah's statement,

not a leaf falls, but He knows it.

means, He knows the movements of everything including inanimate things. Therefore, what about His knowledge of the living creatures, especially, those whom the Divine laws have been imposed upon such as mankind and the Jinns.

In another Ayah, Allah said;

Allah knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the breasts conceal. (40;19)

There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.
