اَلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَصَدُّوْا عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ زِدْنٰهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يُفْسِدُوْنَ ( النحل: ٨٨ )
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
And those who
Ceux qui
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
ont mécru
waṣaddū
وَصَدُّوا۟
and hindered
et se sont détournés
ʿan
عَن
from
de
sabīli
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
(la) cause
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
(d’)Allâh,
zid'nāhum
زِدْنَٰهُمْ
We will increase them
Nous les ferons croître
ʿadhāban
عَذَابًا
(in) punishment
(en) châtiment
fawqa
فَوْقَ
over
par-dessus
l-ʿadhābi
ٱلْعَذَابِ
punishment
le châtiment
bimā
بِمَا
because
parce qu’
kānū
كَانُوا۟
they used (to)
ils semaient la corruption
yuf'sidūna
يُفْسِدُونَ
spread corruption
ils semaient la corruption.
Allazeena kafaroo wa saddoo 'an sabeelil laahi zidnaahum 'azaaban fawqal 'azaabi bimaa kaanoo yufsidoon (an-Naḥl 16:88)
English Sahih:
Those who disbelieved and averted [others] from the way of Allah – We will increase them in punishment over [their] punishment for what corruption they were causing. (An-Nahl [16] : 88)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Ceux qui ne croyaient pas et obstruaient le sentier d'Allah, Nous leur ajouterons châtiment sur châtiment, pour la corruption qu'ils semaient (sur terre). (An-Nahl [16] : 88)
