فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ اٰذَنْتُكُمْ عَلٰى سَوَاۤءٍۗ وَاِنْ اَدْرِيْٓ اَقَرِيْبٌ اَمْ بَعِيْدٌ مَّا تُوْعَدُوْنَ ( الأنبياء: ١٠٩ )
fa-in
فَإِن
But if
Mais s’
tawallaw
تَوَلَّوْا۟
they turn away
ils se détournent,
faqul
فَقُلْ
then say
alors dis :
ādhantukum
ءَاذَنتُكُمْ
"I (have) announced to you
« J’ai annoncé (à) vous
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
equally
par
sawāin
سَوَآءٍۖ
equally
une manière équitable.
wa-in
وَإِنْ
And not
Et ne pas
adrī
أَدْرِىٓ
I know
je sais
aqarībun
أَقَرِيبٌ
whether is near
si (est) proche
am
أَم
or
ou
baʿīdun
بَعِيدٌ
far
loin
mā
مَّا
what
ce que
tūʿadūna
تُوعَدُونَ
you are promised
vous avez été promis.
Fa in tawallaw faqul aazantukum 'alaa sawaaa'; wa in adreee aqareebun am ba'eedum maa too'adoon (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:109)
English Sahih:
But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised. (Al-Anbya [21] : 109)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Si ensuite ils se détournent dis alors: «Je vous ai avertis en toute équité; je ne sais si ce qui vous est promis est proche ou lointain. (Al-Anbiya' [21] : 109)
