اِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهٗ بِاَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُوْلُوْنَ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ وَّتَحْسَبُوْنَهٗ هَيِّنًاۙ وَّهُوَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيْمٌ ۚ ( النور: ١٥ )
iz talaqqawnahoo bi alsinatikum wa taqooloona bi afwaahikum maa laisa lakum bihee 'ilmunw wa tahsaboo nahoo haiyinanw wa huwa 'indl laahi 'azeem (an-Nūr 24:15)
English Sahih:
When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous. (An-Nur [24] : 15)

quand vous colportiez la nouvelle avec vos langues et disiez de vos bouches ce dont vous n'aviez aucun savoir; et vous le comptiez comme insignifiant alors qu'auprès d'Allah cela est énorme. (An-Nur [24] : 15)

Vous transmettiez la calomnie de l’un à l’autre, bien que sa fausseté fusse évidente, et vous pensiez que votre comportement était anodin alors qu’il est en réalité très grave pour Allah, puisque vous mentiez et portiez des accusations mensongères contre un innocent.
