كَدَأْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۚ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ ( آل عمران: ١١ )
Kadaabi Aali Fir'awna wallazeena min qablihim; kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fa akhazahumul laahu bizunoo bihim; wallaahu shadeedul 'iqaab (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:11)
English Sahih:
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty. (Ali 'Imran [3] : 11)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
comme les gens de Pharaon et ceux qui vécurent avant eux. Ils avaient traité de mensonges Nos preuves. Allah les saisit donc, pour leurs péchés. Et Allah est dur en punition. (Ali-'Imran [3] : 11)

Ces mécréants sont semblables aux gens de Pharaon et à ceux avant eux qui mécrurent en Allah et en Ses versets. Allah les supplicia en raison de leurs péchés et ni leurs richesses ni leurs enfants ne leur furent d’un quelconque secours. Allah est dur en punition avec ceux qui mécroient en Lui et démentent Ses versets.
