وَلَوْ نَشَاۤءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلٰٓى اَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَاَنّٰى يُبْصِرُوْنَ ( يس: ٦٦ )
walaw
وَلَوْ
And if
Et si
nashāu
نَشَآءُ
We willed
Nous voulions,
laṭamasnā
لَطَمَسْنَا
We (would have) surely obliterated
Nous anéantirions certainement
ʿalā
عَلَىٰٓ
[over]
[sur]
aʿyunihim
أَعْيُنِهِمْ
their eyes
leurs yeux
fa-is'tabaqū
فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟
then they (would) race
et ils se dépêcheraient alors pour être les premiers
l-ṣirāṭa
ٱلصِّرَٰطَ
(to find) the path
(vers) le chemin,
fa-annā
فَأَنَّىٰ
then how
comment donc
yub'ṣirūna
يُبْصِرُونَ
(could) they see?
pourraient-ils voir ?
Wa law nashaaa'u lata masna 'alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiroon (Yāʾ Sīn 36:66)
English Sahih:
And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see? (Ya-Sin [36] : 66)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Et si Nous voulions, Nous effacerions leurs yeux et ils courront vers le chemin. Mais comment alors pourront-ils voir? (Ya-Sin [36] : 66)
