يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوْۤءُ الدَّارِ ( غافر: ٥٢ )
Yawma laa yanfa'uz zaalimeena ma'ziratuhum wa lahumul la'natu wa lahum soooud daar (Ghāfir 40:52)
English Sahih:
The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home [i.e., Hell]. (Ghafir [40] : 52)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
au jour où leur excuse ne sera pas utile aux injustes, tandis qu'il y aura pour eux la malédiction et la pire demeure. (Ghafir [40] : 52)

Le Jour où il ne servira à rien à ceux qui, en mécroyant et en désobéissant se sont montrés injustes, de s’excuser pour leur injustice et ils seront exclus de la miséricorde d’Allah ce jour-là. De plus, ils rejoindront dans l’au-delà la demeure la plus mauvaise où ils subiront un châtiment douloureux.
