فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهٗ فَاَطَاعُوْهُ ۗاِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا فٰسِقِيْنَ ( الزخرف: ٥٤ )
fa-is'takhaffa
فَٱسْتَخَفَّ
So he bluffed
Il a donc incité à la bêtise
qawmahu
قَوْمَهُۥ
his people
son peuple
fa-aṭāʿūhu
فَأَطَاعُوهُۚ
and they obeyed him
et ils l’ont ensuite obéit.
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
Certes, ils
kānū
كَانُوا۟
were
étaient
qawman
قَوْمًا
a people
des gens
fāsiqīna
فَٰسِقِينَ
defiantly disobedient
immoraux.
Fastakhaffa qawmahoo fa ataa'ooh; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen (az-Zukhruf 43:54)
English Sahih:
So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allah]. (Az-Zukhruf [43] : 54)
Muhammad Hamidullah:
Ainsi chercha-t-il à étourdir son peuple et ainsi lui obéirent-ils car ils étaient des gens pervers. (Az-Zuhruf [43] : 54)
