لِّيَشْهَدُوْا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ فِيْٓ اَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُوْمٰتٍ عَلٰى مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَهِيْمَةِ الْاَنْعَامِۚ فَكُلُوْا مِنْهَا وَاَطْعِمُوا الْبَاۤىِٕسَ الْفَقِيْرَ ۖ ( الحج: ٢٨ )
Liyashhadoo manafi'a lahum wayathkuroo isma Allahi fee ayyamin ma'loomatin 'ala ma razaqahum min baheemati alan'ami fakuloo minha waat'imoo albaisa alfaqeera (al-Ḥajj 22:28)

ताकि वे उन लाभों को देखें जो वहाँ उनके लिए रखे गए है। और कुछ ज्ञात और निश्चित दिनों में उन चौपाए अर्थात मवेशियों पर अल्लाह का नाम लें, जो उसने उन्हें दिए है। फिर उसमें से स्वयं भी खाओ और तंगहाल मुहताज को भी खिलाओ।'
English Sahih:
That they may witness [i.e., attend] benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known [i.e., specific] days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor. ([22] Al-Hajj : 28)
