وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ قَرْيَةٍ اَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُهَاۚ وَاِلَيَّ الْمَصِيْرُ ࣖ ( الحج: ٤٨ )
And how many
وَكَأَيِّن
और कितनी ही
of
مِّن
बस्तियाँ
a township
قَرْيَةٍ
बस्तियाँ
I gave respite
أَمْلَيْتُ
ढील दी मैं ने
to it
لَهَا
उन्हें
while it
وَهِىَ
जब कि वो
(was) doing wrong
ظَالِمَةٌ
ज़ालिम थीं
Then
ثُمَّ
फिर
I seized it
أَخَذْتُهَا
पकड़ लिया मैं ने उन्हें
and to Me
وَإِلَىَّ
और मेरी ही तरफ़
(is) the destination
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
लौटना है
Wakaayyin min qaryatin amlaytu laha wahiya thalimatun thumma akhathtuha wailayya almaseeru (al-Ḥajj 22:48)

कितनी ही बस्तियाँ है जिनको मैंने मुहलत दी इस दशा में कि वे ज़ालिम थीं। फिर मैंने उन्हें पकड़ लिया और अन्ततः आना तो मेरी ही ओर है
English Sahih:
And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination. ([22] Al-Hajj : 48)
