وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ قَرْيَةٍ اَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ اَخَذْتُهَاۚ وَاِلَيَّ الْمَصِيْرُ ࣖ  ( الحج: ٤٨ )

وَكَأَيِّن
And how many

a township
amlaytu
أَمْلَيْتُ
I gave respite
lahā
لَهَا
to it
wahiya
وَهِىَ
while it
ẓālimatun
ظَالِمَةٌ
(was) doing wrong
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
akhadhtuhā
أَخَذْتُهَا
I seized it
wa-ilayya
وَإِلَىَّ
and to Me
l-maṣīru
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
(is) the destination

Wa ka ayyim min qaryatin amlaitu lahaa wa hiya zaalimatun summa akhaztuhaa wa ilaiyal maseer (al-Ḥajj 22:48)

Sahih International:

And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination. (Al-Hajj [22] : 48)

And how many towns were there to whom I allowed respite, while they were wrongdoers, then I seized them. And to Me is the final return.
