अल-मुमिनून आयत ७१

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ اَهْوَاۤءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّۗ بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۗ  ( المؤمنون: ٧١ )

But if
وَلَوِ
और अगर
(had) followed
ٱتَّبَعَ
पैरवी करता
the truth
ٱلْحَقُّ
हक़
their desires
أَهْوَآءَهُمْ
उनकी ख़्वाहिशात की
surely (would) have been corrupted
لَفَسَدَتِ
अलबत्ता बिगड़ जाते
the heavens
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
आसमान
and the earth
وَٱلْأَرْضُ
और ज़मीन
and whoever
وَمَن
और जो कोई
(is) therein
فِيهِنَّۚ
उनमें है
Nay
بَلْ
बल्कि
We have brought them
أَتَيْنَٰهُم
लाए हैं हम उनके पास
their reminder
بِذِكْرِهِمْ
ज़िक्र उनका
but they
فَهُمْ
तो वो
from
عَن
अपने ही ज़िक्र से
their reminder
ذِكْرِهِم
अपने ही ज़िक्र से
(are) turning away
مُّعْرِضُونَ
मुँह मोड़ने वाले हैं

Walawi ittaba'a alhaqqu ahwaahum lafasadati alssamawatu waalardu waman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum 'an thikrihim mu'ridoona (al-Muʾminūn 23:71)

और यदि सत्य कहीं उनकी इच्छाओं के पीछे चलता तो समस्त आकाश और धरती और जो भी उनमें है, सबमें बिगाड़ पैदा हो जाता। नहीं, बल्कि हम उनके पास उनके हिस्से की अनुस्मृति लाए है। किन्तु वे अपनी अनुस्मृति से कतरा रहे है

English Sahih:

But if the Truth [i.e., Allah] had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. ([23] Al-Mu'minun : 71)

और अगर कहीं हक़ उनकी नफसियानी ख्वाहिश की पैरवी करता है तो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो लोग उनमें हैं (सबके सब) बरबाद हो जाते बल्कि हम तो उन्हीं के तज़किरे (जिबरील के वास्ते से) उनके पास लेकर आए तो यह लोग अपने ही तज़किरे से मुँह मोड़तें हैं
