اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْٓا اِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ۙ ( الصافات: ٣٥ )
Indeed they
إِنَّهُمْ
बेशक वो
were
كَانُوٓا۟
थे वो
when
إِذَا
जब
it was said
قِيلَ
कहा जाता
to them
لَهُمْ
उनसे
"(There is) no
لَآ
नहीं
god
إِلَٰهَ
कोई इलाह (बरहक़ )
except
إِلَّا
सिवाए
Allah"
ٱللَّهُ
अल्लाह के
were arrogant
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
वो तकब्बुर करते थे
Innahum kanoo itha qeela lahum la ilaha illa Allahu yastakbiroona (aṣ-Ṣāffāt 37:35)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
उनका हाल यह था कि जब उनसे कहा जाता कि 'अल्लाह के सिवा कोई पूज्य-प्रभु नहीं हैं।' तो वे घमंड में आ जाते थे
English Sahih:
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant ([37] As-Saffat : 35)
