اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْٓا اِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ۙ  ( الصافات: ٣٥ )

Indeed they

ilāha
إِلَٰهَ

إِلَّا

l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah"
yastakbirūna
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
were arrogant

Innahum kaanooo izaa qeela lahum laaa ilaaha illal laahu yastakbiroon (aṣ-Ṣāffāt 37:35)

Sahih International:

Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant (As-Saffat [37] : 35)

They were those to whom when it was said: “There is no god but Allah”, they waxed proud,
