وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اَىِٕنَّا لَتَارِكُوْٓا اٰلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُوْنٍ ۗ   ( الصافات: ٣٦ )

wayaqūlūna
وَيَقُولُونَ
And they say
a-innā
أَئِنَّا
"Are we
latārikū
لَتَارِكُوٓا۟
to leave
ālihatinā
ءَالِهَتِنَا
our gods
lishāʿirin
لِشَاعِرٍ
for a poet
majnūnin
مَّجْنُونٍۭ
mad?"

Wa yaqooloona a'innaa lataarikooo aalihatinaa lishaa'irim majnoon (aṣ-Ṣāffāt 37:36)

Sahih International:

And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" (As-Saffat [37] : 36)

and used to say, “Are we really to leave our gods because of an insane poet?”
