حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا جَاۤءَنَا قَالَ يٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِيْنُ ( الزخرف: ٣٨ )
Until
حَتَّىٰٓ
यहाँ तक कि
when
إِذَا
जब
he comes to Us
جَآءَنَا
वो आएगा हमारे पास
he says
قَالَ
वो कहेगा
"O would that
يَٰلَيْتَ
ऐ काश
between me
بَيْنِى
दर्मियान मेरे
and between you
وَبَيْنَكَ
और दर्मियान तुम्हारे
(were the) distance
بُعْدَ
दूरी (होती )
(of) the East and the West"
ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ
दो मशरिक़ों की
How wretched is
فَبِئْسَ
तो कितना बुरा है
the companion!
ٱلْقَرِينُ
साथी
Hatta itha jaana qala ya layta baynee wabaynaka bu'da almashriqayni fabisa alqareenu (az-Zukhruf 43:38)

यहाँ तक कि जब वह हमारे पास आएगा तो (शैतान से) कहेगा, 'ऐ काश, मेरे और तेरे बीच पूरब के दोनों किनारों की दूरी होती! तू तो बहुत ही बुरा साथी निकला!'
English Sahih:
Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "How I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west; and what a wretched companion." ([43] Az-Zukhruf : 38)
