يَّسْمَعُ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَاۚ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ ( الجاثية: ٨ )
Who hears
يَسْمَعُ
वो सुनता है
(the) Verses
ءَايَٰتِ
आयात को
(of) Allah
ٱللَّهِ
अल्लाह की
recited
تُتْلَىٰ
जो पढ़ी जाती हैं
to him
عَلَيْهِ
उस पर
then
ثُمَّ
फिर
persists
يُصِرُّ
वो इसरार करता है
arrogantly
مُسْتَكْبِرًا
तकब्बुर करते हुए
as if
كَأَن
गोया कि
not
لَّمْ
नहीं
he heard them
يَسْمَعْهَاۖ
उसने सुना उन्हें
So give him tidings
فَبَشِّرْهُ
तो ख़ुशख़बरी दे दीजिए उसे
(of) a punishment
بِعَذَابٍ
अज़ाब
painful
أَلِيمٍ
दर्दनाक की
Yasma'u ayati Allahi tutla 'alayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran kaan lam yasma'ha fabashshirhu bi'athabin aleemin (al-Jāthiyah 45:8)

जो अल्लाह की उन आयतों को सुनता है जो उसे पढ़कर सुनाई जाती है। फिर घमंड के साथ अपनी (इनकार की) नीति पर अड़ा रहता है मानो उसने उनको सुना ही नहीं। अतः उसको दुखद यातना की शुभ सूचना दे दो
English Sahih:
Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. ([45] Al-Jathiyah : 8)
