وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ فَلَبِثَ فِيۡهِمۡ اَ لۡفَ سَنَةٍ اِلَّا خَمۡسِيۡنَ عَامًا ؕ فَاَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوۡفَانُ وَهُمۡ ظٰلِمُوۡنَ(العنكبوت :14)
وَلَقَدْ
And verily
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
نُوحًا
Nuh
إِلَىٰ
to
قَوْمِهِۦ
his people
فَلَبِثَ
and he remained
فِيهِمْ
among them
أَلْفَ
a thousand
سَنَةٍ
year(s)
إِلَّا
save
خَمْسِينَ
fifty
عَامًا
year(s)
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
then seized them
ٱلطُّوفَانُ
the flood
وَهُمْ
while they
ظَٰلِمُونَ
(were) wrongdoers
Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena 'aman faakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona
Sahih International:
And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers.
