وَاِذۡ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِيۡثَاقَ النَّبِيّٖنَ لَمَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُكُمۡ مِّنۡ كِتٰبٍ وَّحِكۡمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمۡ لَـتُؤۡمِنُنَّ بِهٖ وَلَـتَـنۡصُرُنَّهٗ ؕ قَالَ ءَاَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَاَخَذۡتُمۡ عَلٰى ذٰ لِكُمۡ اِصۡرِىۡؕ قَالُوۡۤا اَقۡرَرۡنَا ؕ قَالَ فَاشۡهَدُوۡا وَاَنَا مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الشّٰهِدِيۡنَ(آل عمران :81)
Waith akhatha Allahu meethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukum min kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakum rasoolun musaddiqun lima ma'akum latuminunna bihi walatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtum 'ala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarna qala faishhadoo waana ma'akum mina alshshahideena
Sahih International:
And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [ Allah ] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."
وَاِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِنَ النَّبِيّٖنَ مِيۡثَاقَهُمۡ وَمِنۡكَ وَمِنۡ نُّوۡحٍ وَّاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَمُوۡسٰى وَعِيۡسَى ابۡنِ مَرۡيَمَۖ وَاَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ مِّيۡثاقًا غَلِيۡظًا(الأحزاب :7)
Waith akhathna mina alnnabiyyeena meethaqahum waminka wamin noohin waibraheema wamoosa wa'eesa ibni maryama waakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan
Sahih International:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We took from the prophets their covenant and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took from them a solemn covenant.
لِّيَسۡئَلَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ عَنۡ صِدۡقِهِمۡۚ وَاَعَدَّ لِلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ عَذَابًا اَ لِيۡمًا(الأحزاب :8)
Liyasala alssadiqeena 'an sidqihim waa'adda lilkafireena 'athaban aleeman
Sahih International:
That He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.
