وَاِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةِ اِنِّىۡ جَاعِلٌ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ خَلِيۡفَةً ؕ قَالُوۡٓا اَتَجۡعَلُ فِيۡهَا مَنۡ يُّفۡسِدُ فِيۡهَا وَيَسۡفِكُ الدِّمَآءَۚ وَنَحۡنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَـكَؕ قَالَ اِنِّىۡٓ اَعۡلَمُ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ(البقرة :30)
Waith qala rabbuka lilmalaikati innee ja'ilun fee alardi khaleefatan qaloo ataj'alu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaa wanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu laka qala innee a'lamu ma la ta'lamoona
Sahih International:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَـكُمۡ خَلٰٓٮِٕفَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعۡضَكُمۡ فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍ دَرَجٰتٍ لِّيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ فِىۡ مَاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيۡعُ الۡعِقَابِ ۖ وَاِنَّهٗ لَـغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ(الأنعام :165)
Wahuwa allathee ja'alakum khalaifa alardi warafa'a ba'dakum fawqa ba'din darajatin liyabluwakum fee ma atakum inna rabbaka saree'u al'iqabi wainnahu laghafoorun raheemun
Sahih International:
And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
