وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجْنَ فَتَيٰنِ ۗقَالَ اَحَدُهُمَآ اِنِّيْٓ اَرٰىنِيْٓ اَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا ۚوَقَالَ الْاٰخَرُ اِنِّيْٓ اَرٰىنِيْٓ اَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِيْ خُبْزًا تَأْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ ۗنَبِّئْنَا بِتَأْوِيْلِهٖ ۚاِنَّا نَرٰىكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ( يوسف: ٣٦ )
Wa dakhala ma'ahussijna fata yaan; qaala ahaduhumaaa inneee araaneee a'siru khamranw wa qaalal aakharu inneee khubzan taakulut tairu minh; nabbi 'naa bitaaweelihee innaa naraaka minal muhsineen (Yūsuf 12:36)
English Sahih:
And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing [grapes for] wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good." (Yusuf [12] : 36)

അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം മറ്റു രണ്ടു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരും ജയിലിലകപ്പെട്ടു. അവരിലൊരാള് പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഞാന് മദ്യം പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതായി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.'' മറ്റെയാള് പറഞ്ഞു: ''ഞാനെന്റെ തലയില് റൊട്ടി ചുമക്കുന്നതായും പക്ഷികള് അതില് നിന്ന് തിന്നുന്നതായും സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം പറഞ്ഞുതരിക. താങ്കളെ നല്ല ഒരാളായാണ് ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നത്.'' (യൂസുഫ് [12] : 36)

അവനോടൊപ്പം രണ്ട് യുവാക്കളും ജയിലില് പ്രവേശിച്ചു. അവരില് ഒരാള് പറഞ്ഞു: ഞാന് വീഞ്ഞ് പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതായി സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്നു. മറ്റൊരാള് പറഞ്ഞു: ഞാന് എന്റെ തലയില് റൊട്ടി ചുമക്കുകയും, എന്നിട്ട് അതില് നിന്ന് പറവകള് തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതായി ഞാന് സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്നു. ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് താങ്കള് അതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം വിവരിച്ചുതരൂ. തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള് താങ്കളെ കാണുന്നത് സദ്വൃത്തരില് ഒരാളായിട്ടാണ്.
