۞ وَتَرَى الشَّمْسَ اِذَا طَلَعَتْ تَّزَاوَرُ عَنْ كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِيْنِ وَاِذَا غَرَبَتْ تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِيْ فَجْوَةٍ مِّنْهُۗ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۗمَنْ يَّهْدِ اللّٰهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهٗ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا ࣖ ( الكهف: ١٧ )
Wa tarash shamsa izaa tala'at tazaawaru 'an kahfihim zaatal yameeni wa izaa gharabat taqriduhum zaatash shimaali wa hum fee fajwatim minh; zaalika min Aayaatillaah; mai yahdil laahu fahuwal muhtad, wa mai yudlil falan tajida lahoo waliyyam murshidaa (al-Kahf 18:17)
English Sahih:
And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [lying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah. He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He sends astray – never will you find for him a protecting guide. (Al-Kahf [18] : 17)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
സൂര്യന് ഉദയവേളയില് ആ ഗുഹയുടെ വലതുഭാഗത്തേക്ക് മാറിപ്പോകുന്നതായും അസ്തമയസമയത്ത് അവരെ വിട്ടുകടന്ന് ഇടത്തോട്ടുപോകുന്നതായും നിനക്കു കാണാം. അവരോ, ഗുഹക്കകത്ത് വിശാലമായ ഒരിടത്താകുന്നു. ഇത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അടയാളങ്ങളില് പെട്ടതാണ്. അല്ലാഹു ആരെ നേര്വഴിയിലാക്കുന്നുവോ അവനാണ് സന്മാര്ഗം പ്രാപിച്ചവന്. അവന് ആരെ വഴികേടിലാക്കുന്നുവോ അവനെ നേര്വഴിയിലാക്കുന്ന ഒരു രക്ഷകനേയും നിനക്കു കണ്ടെത്താനാവില്ല. (അല്കഹ്ഫ് [18] : 17)

സൂര്യന് ഉദിക്കുമ്പോള് അതവരുടെ ഗുഹവിട്ട് വലതുഭാഗത്തേക്ക് മാറിപ്പോകുന്നതായും, അത് അസ്തമിക്കുമ്പോള് അതവരെ വിട്ട് കടന്ന് ഇടത് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോകുന്നതായും നിനക്ക് കാണാം. അവരാകട്ടെ അതിന്റെ (ഗുഹയുടെ) വിശാലമായ ഒരു ഭാഗത്താകുന്നു.[1] അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളില് പെട്ടതത്രെ. അല്ലാഹു ആരെ നേര്വഴിയിലാക്കുന്നുവോ അവനാണ് സന്മാര്ഗം പ്രാപിച്ചവന്. അവന് ആരെ ദുര്മാര്ഗത്തിലാക്കുന്നുവോ അവനെ നേര്വഴിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന ഒരു രക്ഷാധികാരിയെയും നീ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതല്ല തന്നെ.
[1] ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു മുമ്പായാലും ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു ശേഷമായാലും വെയില് അകത്തേക്ക് എത്താത്ത വിധത്തിലായിരുന്നു ആ ഗുഹയുടെ കിടപ്പ് എന്നര്ഥം.
