فَانْطَلَقَاۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا رَكِبَا فِى السَّفِيْنَةِ خَرَقَهَاۗ قَالَ اَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ اَهْلَهَاۚ لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا اِمْرًا ( الكهف: ٧١ )
Fantalaqaa hattaaa izaa rakibaa fis safeenati kharaqahaa qaala akharaqtahaa litughriqa ahlahaa laqad ji'ta shai'an imraa (al-Kahf 18:71)
English Sahih:
So they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, he [i.e., al-Khidhr] tore it open. [Moses] said, "Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing." (Al-Kahf [18] : 71)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അങ്ങനെ അവരിരുവരും യാത്രയായി. അവര് ഒരു കപ്പലില് കയറിയപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം ആ കപ്പലിന് ഒരു ദ്വാരമുണ്ടാക്കി. മൂസ ചോദിച്ചു: ''താങ്കളെന്തിനാണ് കപ്പലിന് ദ്വാരമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്? ഇതിലുള്ളവരെയൊക്കെ മുക്കിക്കൊല്ലാനാണോ? താങ്കള് ഇച്ചെയ്തത് ഗുരുതരമായ കാര്യം തന്നെ.'' (അല്കഹ്ഫ് [18] : 71)

തുടര്ന്ന് അവര് രണ്ടുപേരും പോയി. അങ്ങനെ അവരിരുവരും കപ്പലില് കയറിയപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹം അതിന് കേടുവരുത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: അതിലുള്ളവരെ മുക്കിക്കളയുവാന് വേണ്ടി താങ്കളതിന് കേടുവരുത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണോ? തീര്ച്ചയായും ഗുരുതരമായ ഒരു കാര്യം തന്നെയാണ് താങ്കള് ചെയ്തത്.
