اَلَّذِيْنَ اٰتَيْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ يَعْرِفُوْنَهٗ كَمَا يَعْرِفُوْنَ اَبْنَاۤءَهُمْ ۗ وَاِنَّ فَرِيْقًا مِّنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُوْنَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( البقرة: ١٤٦ )
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
(To) those whom
യാതൊരുകൂട്ടര്
ātaynāhumu
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
We gave [them]
അവര്ക്ക് നാം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു
l-kitāba
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
(വേദ)ഗ്രന്ഥം
yaʿrifūnahu
يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ
they recognize it
അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അവര് അറിയും, അതിനെ (പരിചയപ്പെട്ട്) അറിയും
kamā yaʿrifūna
كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ
like they recognize
അവര് അറിയുന്നത് പോലെ
abnāahum
أَبْنَآءَهُمْۖ
their sons
അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെ (മക്കളെ)
wa-inna farīqan
وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا
And indeed a group
നിശ്ചയമായും ഒരു വിഭാഗം
min'hum
مِّنْهُمْ
of them
അവരില് നിന്നുള്ള
layaktumūna
لَيَكْتُمُونَ
surely they conceal
അവര് ഒളിച്ചു(മറച്ചു, മൂടി)വെക്കുകതന്നെ ചെയ്യുന്നു
l-ḥaqa
ٱلْحَقَّ
the Truth
യഥാര്ത്ഥം, സത്യം, ന്യായം
wahum
وَهُمْ
while they
അവരാകട്ടെ
yaʿlamūna
يَعْلَمُونَ
know
അറിയുന്നുതാനും
Allazeena aatainaahumul kitaaba ya'rifoonahoo kamaa ya'rifoona abnaaa'ahum wa inna fareeqam minhum layaktumoonal haqqa wa hum ya'lamoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:146)
English Sahih:
Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him [i.e., Prophet Muhammad (^)] as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know [it]. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 146)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നാം വേദം നല്കിയ ജനത്തിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ അറിയുന്നപോലെ അറിയാം. എന്നിട്ടും അവരിലൊരുകൂട്ടര് അറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ സത്യം മറച്ചുവെക്കുകയാണ്. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 146)
