فَاَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْاٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفٰنِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَّرَقِ الْجَنَّةِۚ وَعَصٰٓى اٰدَمُ رَبَّهٗ فَغَوٰى ۖ ( طه: ١٢١ )
Fa akalaa minhaa fabadat lahumaa saw aatuhumaa wa tafiqaa yakhsifaani 'alaihimaa minw waraqil jannah; wa 'asaaa Aadamu Rabbahoo faghawaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:121)
English Sahih:
And they [i.e., Adam and his wife] ate of it, and their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And Adam disobeyed his Lord and erred. (Taha [20] : 121)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അങ്ങനെ അവരിരുവരും ആ വൃക്ഷത്തില്നിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിച്ചു. അതോടെ അവര്ക്കിരുവര്ക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ നഗ്നത വെളിവായി. ഇരുവരും സ്വര്ഗത്തിലെ ഇലകള്കൊണ്ട് തങ്ങളെ പൊതിയാന് തുടങ്ങി. ആദം തന്റെ നാഥനെ ധിക്കരിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ പിഴച്ചുപോയി. (ത്വാഹാ [20] : 121)

അങ്ങനെ അവര് (ആദമും ഭാര്യയും) ആ വൃക്ഷത്തില് നിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിച്ചു. അപ്പോള് അവര് ഇരുവര്ക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ ഗുഹ്യഭാഗങ്ങള് വെളിപ്പെടുകയും, സ്വര്ഗത്തിലെ ഇലകള് കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്ത് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹം അവര് പൊതിയാന് തുടങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു. ആദം തന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിനോട് അനുസരണക്കേട് കാണിക്കുകയും, അങ്ങനെ പിഴച്ചുപോകുകയും ചെയ്തു.
