قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ الَّذِيْنَ اَغْوَيْنَاۚ اَغْوَيْنٰهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَاۚ تَبَرَّأْنَآ اِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوْٓا اِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُوْنَ ( القصص: ٦٣ )
Qaalal lazeena haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu Rabbanaa haaa'ulaaa'il lazeena aghwainaa aghwainaahu kamaa ghawainaa tabarraanaaa ilaika maa kaanoo iyyaanaa ya'budoon (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:63)
English Sahih:
Those upon whom the word will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship [i.e., obey] us." (Al-Qasas [28] : 63)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ശിക്ഷാവചനം ബാധകമായത് ആരിലാണോ അവര്‍ അന്ന് പറയും: ''ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാഥാ, ഇവരെയാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍ വഴിപിഴപ്പിച്ചത്. ഞങ്ങള്‍ വഴിപിഴച്ചപോലെ ഞങ്ങളിവരെയും പിഴപ്പിച്ചു. ഞങ്ങളിതാ നിന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമൊഴിയുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളെയല്ല ഇവര്‍ പൂജിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത്.'' (അല്‍ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 63)

(ശിക്ഷയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള) വാക്ക് ആരുടെ മേല്‍ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവര്‍ (അന്ന്) ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നതാണ്: ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഇവരെയാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍ വഴിപിഴപ്പിച്ചത്. ഞങ്ങള്‍ വഴിപിഴച്ചത് പോലെ അവരെയും ഞങ്ങൾ വഴിപിഴപ്പിച്ചതാണ്‌. ഞങ്ങള്‍ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളെയല്ല അവര്‍ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നത്.[1]
[1] പല ദൈവസങ്കല്‍പങ്ങളും പൂജാസമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളും ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സുന്ദരമായി തോന്നിക്കുകയാണ് അവര്‍ ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. തങ്ങളെ ആരാധിക്കാന്‍ അവര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നില്ല. അവര്‍ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നുമില്ല.
