وَاِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيْقًا يَّلْوٗنَ اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوْهُ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِۚ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ( آل عمران: ٧٨ )
Wa inna minhum lafaree qany yalwoona alsinatahum bil Kitaabi litahsaboohu minal Kitaab, wa maa huwa minal Kitaabi wa yaqooloon huwa min 'indillaahi wa maa huwa min 'indillaahi wa yaqooloona 'alal laahil kaziba wa hum ya'lamoon (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:78)
English Sahih:
And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. And they speak untruth about Allah while they know. (Ali 'Imran [3] : 78)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
വേദവായനയില്‍ വക്രതവരുത്തുന്നവരും അക്കൂട്ടത്തിലുണ്ട്; അതൊക്കെ വേദപുസ്തകത്തിലുള്ളതാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ധരിക്കാനാണത്. എന്നാലതൊന്നും വേദപുസ്തകത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല. അതൊക്കെ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതാണെന്ന് അവരവകാശപ്പെടും. യഥാര്‍ഥത്തില്‍ അതൊന്നും ദൈവത്തിങ്കല്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതല്ല. അവര്‍ ബോധപൂര്‍വം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പേരില്‍ കള്ളം പറയുകയാണ്. (ആലുഇംറാന്‍ [3] : 78)

വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തിലെ വാചകശൈലികള്‍ വളച്ചൊടിക്കുന്ന ചിലരും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുണ്ട്. അത് വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തില്‍ പെട്ടതാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ധരിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാണത്. അത് വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല. അവര്‍ പറയും; അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പക്കല്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതാണെന്ന്. എന്നാല്‍ അത് അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല്‍ നിന്നുള്ളതല്ല. അവര്‍ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പേരില്‍ കള്ളം പറയുകയാണ്.
