اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوْا نَصِيْبًا مِّنَ الْكِتٰبِ يَشْتَرُوْنَ الضَّلٰلَةَ وَيُرِيْدُوْنَ اَنْ تَضِلُّوا السَّبِيْلَۗ ( النساء: ٤٤ )
alam tara
أَلَمْ تَرَ
Did not you see
നീ കണ്ടില്ലേ, നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ
ilā alladhīna
إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ
[towards] those who
യാതൊരുവരെ, ഒരു കൂട്ടരിലേക്ക്
ūtū
أُوتُوا۟
were given
അവര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു
naṣīban
نَصِيبًا
a portion
ഒരംശം, പങ്ക്
mina l-kitābi
مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
of the Book
(വേദ) ഗ്രന്ഥത്തില്‍ നിന്ന്
yashtarūna
يَشْتَرُونَ
purchasing
അവര്‍ വാങ്ങുന്നു
l-ḍalālata
ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ
[the] error
ദുര്‍മാര്‍ഗം, വഴികേട്, വഴി പിഴവ്
wayurīdūna
وَيُرِيدُونَ
and wishing
അവര്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു
an taḍillū
أَن تَضِلُّوا۟
that you stray
നിങ്ങള്‍ പിഴച്ചുപോകുവാന്‍
l-sabīla
ٱلسَّبِيلَ
(from) the way?
മാര്‍ഗം, വഴി
Alam tara ilal lazeena ootoo naseebam minal Kitaabi yashtaroonad dalaalata wa yureedoona an tadillus sabeel (an-Nisāʾ 4:44)
English Sahih:
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, purchasing error [in exchange for it] and wishing you would lose the way? (An-Nisa [4] : 44)
