۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاۤءَهُمْ رَسُوْلٌ كَرِيْمٌۙ ( الدخان: ١٧ )
walaqad fatannā
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا
And certainly We tried
തീര്ച്ചയായും നാം പരീക്ഷിക്കയുണ്ടായി
qablahum
قَبْلَهُمْ
before them
ഇവരുടെ മുമ്പ്
qawma fir'ʿawna
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ
(the) people (of) Firaun
ഫിര്ഔന്റെ ജനതയെ
wajāahum
وَجَآءَهُمْ
and came to them
അവര്ക്കു ചെല്ലുക (വരുക)യും ചെയ്തു
rasūlun karīmun
رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ
a Messenger noble
മാന്യനായ ഒരു ദൂതന്
Wa laqad fatannaa qablahum qawma Fir'awna wa jaaa'ahum Rasoolun kareem (ad-Dukhān 44:17)
English Sahih:
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger [i.e., Moses], (Ad-Dukhan [44] : 17)
