فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ قُرْبَانًا اٰلِهَةً ۗبَلْ ضَلُّوْا عَنْهُمْۚ وَذٰلِكَ اِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوْا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ( الأحقاف: ٢٨ )
Falaw laa nasarahumul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi qurbaanan aalihatam bal dalloo 'anhum' wa zaalika ifkuhum wa maa kaanoo yaftaroon (al-ʾAḥq̈āf 46:28)
English Sahih:
Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed [i.e., departed] from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing. (Al-Ahqaf [46] : 28)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ സാമീപ്യം സിദ്ധിക്കാനായി അവനെവെടിഞ്ഞ് അവര് സ്വീകരിച്ച ദൈവങ്ങള് ശിക്ഷാവേളയില് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ സഹായിച്ചില്ല? ആ ദൈവങ്ങള് അവരില്നിന്ന് അപ്രത്യക്ഷരായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതാണ് അവരുടെ പൊള്ളത്തരത്തിന്റെയും അവര് കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതിന്റെയും അവസ്ഥ. (അല്അഹ്ഖാഫ് [46] : 28)

അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ (അവനിലേക്ക്) സാമീപ്യം കിട്ടുവാനായി അവര് ആരാധ്യരായി സ്വീകരിച്ചവര് അപ്പോള് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അവരെ സഹായിച്ചില്ല? അല്ല, അവരെ വിട്ട് അവര് (ആരാധ്യർ) അപ്രത്യക്ഷരായി. അത് (ബഹുദൈവവാദം) അവരുടെ വകയായുള്ള വ്യാജവും, അവര് കൃത്രിമമായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്നതുമത്രെ.
