وَاِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ اِلَى الصَّلٰوةِ اتَّخَذُوْهَا هُزُوًا وَّلَعِبًا ۗذٰلِكَ بِاَ نَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُوْنَ ( المائدة: ٥٨ )
wa-idhā nādaytum
وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ
And when you make a call
നിങ്ങള് വിളിച്ചാല്
ilā l-ṣalati
إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
for the prayer
നമസ്കാരത്തിലേക്ക്
ittakhadhūhā
ٱتَّخَذُوهَا
they take it
അതിനെ അവര് ആക്കും
huzuwan
هُزُوًا
(in) ridicule
പരിഹാസം
walaʿiban
وَلَعِبًاۚ
and fun
കളിയും
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
That
അത്
bi-annahum qawmun
بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ
(is) because they (are) a people
അവര് ഒരു ജനതയാണെന്നതു കൊണ്ടാണ്
lā yaʿqilūna
لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ
(who do) not understand
ബുദ്ധികൊടുക്കാത്ത, ഗ്രഹിക്കാത്ത
Wa izaa naadaitum ilas Salaatit takhazoohaa huzu wan'w wa la'ibaa; zaalika biannnahum qawmul laa ya'qiloon (al-Māʾidah 5:58)
English Sahih:
And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason. (Al-Ma'idah [5] : 58)

നിങ്ങള് നമസ്കാരത്തിന് വിളിച്ചാല് അവരതിനെ പരിഹാസവും കളിയുമാക്കുന്നു. അവര് ആലോചിച്ചറിയാത്ത ജനമായതിനാലാണത്. (അല്മാഇദ [5] : 58)
