وَنَادٰٓى اَصْحٰبُ الْاَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَّعْرِفُوْنَهُمْ بِسِيْمٰىهُمْ قَالُوْا مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ ( الأعراف: ٤٨ )
wanādā
وَنَادَىٰٓ
And (will) call out
വിളിച്ചു പറയും
aṣḥābu
أَصْحَٰبُ
(the) companions
ആള്‍ക്കാര്‍
l-aʿrāfi
ٱلْأَعْرَافِ
(of) the heights
അഅ്റാഫിന്റെ
rijālan
رِجَالًا
(to) men
ചില പുരുഷന്മാരെ
yaʿrifūnahum
يَعْرِفُونَهُم
whom they recognize
അവരെ അവര്‍ അറിയുന്നതാണു
bisīmāhum
بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ
by their marks
അവരുടെ അടയാളം (ലക്ഷണം) കൊണ്ടു
qālū
قَالُوا۟
saying
അവര്‍ പറയും
mā aghnā
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ
"Not (has) availed
എന്തു ധന്യമാക്കി (എന്താണു ഉപകരിച്ചതു)
ʿankum
عَنكُمْ
[to] you
നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു
jamʿukum
جَمْعُكُمْ
your gathering
നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടല്‍, ശേഖരണം
wamā kuntum
وَمَا كُنتُمْ
and what you were
നിങ്ങള്‍ ആയിരുന്നതും
tastakbirūna
تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
arrogant (about)"
നിങ്ങള്‍ വലുപ്പം (അഹംഭാവം) നടിക്കും.
Wa naadaaa Ashaabul A'raffi rijaalany ya'rifoonahum biseemaahum qaaloo maaa aghnaa 'ankum jam'ukum wa maa kuntum tastakbiroon (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:48)
English Sahih:
And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant." (Al-A'raf [7] : 48)

മതില്‍പ്പുറത്തുള്ളവര്‍ അടയാളങ്ങളിലൂടെ തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തിരിച്ചറിയാവുന്ന ചില നരകക്കാരെ വിളിച്ച് പറയും: ''നിങ്ങളുടെ ആള്‍ബലവും നിങ്ങള്‍ അഹങ്കരിച്ചുനടന്നതും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കെന്ത് നേട്ടമാണുണ്ടാക്കിയത്? (അല്‍അഅ്റാഫ് [7] : 48)
