وَيَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيْضِ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ اَذًىۙ فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاۤءَ فِى الْمَحِيْضِۙ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْهُنَّ حَتّٰى يَطْهُرْنَ ۚ فَاِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوْهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَمَرَكُمُ اللّٰهُ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ ( البقرة: ٢٢٢ )
Wa yas'aloonaka 'anil maheedi qul huwa azan fa'tazilun nisaaa'a fil maheedi wa laa taqraboo hunna hattaa yathurna fa-izaa tathharna faatoohunna min haisu amarakumul laah; innallaaha yuhibbut Tawwaabeena wa yuhibbul mutatahhireen (al-Baq̈arah 2:222)
English Sahih:
And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you. Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves." (Al-Baqarah [2] : 222)
Sherif Ahmeti:
Të pyesin ty për menstruacionin (hajdin). Thuaj: “Ajo është gjendje e neveritur, andaj largohuni prej grave gjatë menstruacionit dhe mos iu afroni atyre (për marëdhënie) derisa të pastrohen. E kur të pastrohen, atëherë afrohuni atyre ashtu siç u ka lejuar All-llahu. All-llahu i do ata që pendohen, dhe ata që ruhen prej punëve të ndyta e të neveritshme (Al-Baqarah [2] : 222)

Dhe të pyesin për javët (menstruacionin). Thuaj: “Ajo është sëmundje”. Prandaj mos iu afroni grave në kohën e javës (menstruacionit) dhe mos iu afroni derisa të pastrohen. Dhe kur të pastrohen, pastaj afrohuni ashtu si ju ka urdhëruar All-llahu. All-llahu me të vërtetë i do ata që pendohen dhe i do ata që pastrohen
