وَاِنْ كَادُوْا لَيَسْتَفِزُّوْنَكَ مِنَ الْاَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجُوْكَ مِنْهَا وَاِذًا لَّا يَلْبَثُوْنَ خِلٰفَكَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ( الإسراء: ٧٦ )
And indeed they were about
وَإِن كَادُوا۟
நிச்சயமாக முயற்சிக்கின்றனர்
(to) scare you
لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ
அவர்கள் தூண்டிவிட/உம்மை
from the land
مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ
ஊரிலிருந்து
that they evict you
لِيُخْرِجُوكَ
அவர்கள் வெளியேற்றுவதற்காக/உம்மை
from it
مِنْهَاۖ
அதிலிருந்து
But then not they (would) have stayed
وَإِذًا لَّا يَلْبَثُونَ
அப்போது வசித்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள்
after you
خِلَٰفَكَ
உமக்குப் பின்னால்
except a little
إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
சொற்ப காலமே தவிர
Wa in kaadoo la yastafizzoonaka minal ardi liyukhri jooka minhaa wa izal laa yalbasoona khilaafaka illaa qaleelaa (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:76)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
(நபியே! உங்களுடைய) ஊரிலிருந்து உங்களுடைய காலைப் பெயர்த்து அதிலிருந்து உங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தி விடவே அவர்கள் முடிவு கட்டியிருந்தார்கள். அவ்வாறவர்கள் செய்திருந்தால் உங்களுக்குப் பின்னர் வெகு சொற்பநாள்களே அன்றி அங்கு அவர்கள் இருந்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.
English Sahih:
And indeed, they were about to provoke [i.e., drive] you from the land [i.e., Makkah] to evict you therefrom. And then [when they do], they will not remain [there] after you, except for a little. ([17] Al-Isra : 76)
