اَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ فِيْهِ ظُلُمٰتٌ وَّرَعْدٌ وَّبَرْقٌۚ يَجْعَلُوْنَ اَصَابِعَهُمْ فِيْٓ اٰذَانِهِمْ مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِۗ وَاللّٰهُ مُحِيْطٌۢ بِالْكٰفِرِيْنَ ( البقرة: ١٩ )
Aw kasaiyibim minas samaaa'i feehi zulumaatunw wa ra'dunw wa barq, yaj'aloona asaabi'ahum feee aazaanihim minas sawaa'iqi hazaral mawt' wallaahu muheetum bilkaafireen (al-Baq̈arah 2:19)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அல்லது (இவர்களுடைய உதாரணம்:) அடர்ந்த இருளும், இடியும், மின்னலும் கொண்ட மேகம் பொழியும் மழையில் அகப்பட்டுக் கொண்ட(வர்களின் உதாரணத்தை ஒத்திருக்கின்றது. இவ்வாறு அகப்பட்டுக் கொண்ட இ)வர்கள் இடி முழக்கங்களால் மரணத்திற்குப் பயந்து தங்களுடைய விரல்களைத் தங்களுடைய காதுகளில் நுழைத்து (அடைத்து)க் கொள்கின்றனர். அல்லாஹ் நிராகரிக்கும் இவர்களை (எப்பொழுதும்) சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு இருக்கின்றான்.
English Sahih:
Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers. ([2] Al-Baqarah : 19)

அல்லது, (இன்னும் ஓர் உதாரணம்) காரிருளும், இடியும், மின்னலும் கொண்டு வானத்திலிருந்து கடுமழை கொட்டும் மேகம்; (இதிலகப்பட்டுக்கொண்டோர்) மரணத்திற்கு அஞ்சி இடியோசையினால், தங்கள் விரல்களைத் தம் காதுகளில் வைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் (எப்போதும் இந்த) காஃபிர்களைச் சூழ்ந்தவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.
