اِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِيْٓ اَعْنَاقِهِمْ اَغْلٰلًا فَهِيَ اِلَى الْاَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُّقْمَحُوْنَ ( يس: ٨ )
Indeed We
إِنَّا
நிச்சயமாக நாம்
[We] have placed
جَعَلْنَا
ஏற்படுத்தி விட்டோம்
on their necks
فِىٓ أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ
அவர்களின் கழுத்துகள் மீது
iron collars
أَغْلَٰلًا
அரிகண்டங்களை
and they
فَهِىَ
அவை
(are up)to the chins
إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ
தாடைகள் வரை
so they
فَهُم
ஆகவே, அவர்கள்
(are with) heads aloft
مُّقْمَحُونَ
உயர்த்தியவர்களாக
Innaa ja'alnaa feee a'naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal azqaani fahum muqmahoon (Yāʾ Sīn 36:8)

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் மேல்வாய் கட்டைகள் வரையில் விலங்குச் சங்கிலிகளைப் போட்டுவிட்டோம். ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய தலைகள் (குனிய முடியாதவாறு) நிமிர்ந்து விட்டன.
English Sahih:
Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. ([36] Ya-Sin : 8)
