وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَلْقَوْهُۖ فَقَدْ رَاَيْتُمُوْهُ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُوْنَ ࣖ  ( آل عمران: ١٤٣ )

Wa laqad kuntum tamannnawnal mawta min qabli an talqawhu faqad ra aitumoohu wa antum tanzuroon (ʾĀl ʿImrān 3:143)

English Sahih:

And you had certainly wished for death [i.e., martyrdom] before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. (Ali 'Imran [3] : 143)

Ma Jian (Simplified):

遭遇死亡之前,你们确已希望死亡;现在你们确已亲眼见到死亡了。 (仪姆兰的家属 [3] : 143)

信士们啊!你们曾盼望杀敌以便获得为主道牺牲的荣誉,就像白德尔战役中牺牲的弟兄们那样。你们在伍候德 战役中已亲眼目睹了自己所盼望之事。
