اَوْ تَقُوْلُوْٓا اِنَّمَآ اَشْرَكَ اٰبَاۤؤُنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْۚ اَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ ( الأعراف: ١٧٣ )

Aw taqoolooo innamaaa ashraka aabaaa 'unaa min qablu wa kunnaa zurriyyatam mim ba'dihim afatuhlikunna bimaa fa'alal mubtiloon (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:173)
English Sahih:
Or [lest] you say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?" (Al-A'raf [7] : 173)
Ma Jian (Simplified):
或者说：“只有我们的祖先从前曾以物配主，我们不过是他们的后裔；难道你要因荒诞者的行为而毁灭我们吗？” (高处 [7] : 173)
