وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَاِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ اَبْصَارُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ يٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِيْ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظٰلِمِيْنَ ( الأنبياء: ٩٧ )

und das wahre Versprechen nahegerückt ist, dann werden sogleich die Blicke derjenigen, die ungläubig sind, starr werden; "O wehe uns! Wir waren dessen ja unachtsam. Nein! Vielmehr pflegten wir Unrecht zu tun." ([21] al-Anbiya (Die Propheten) : 97)
English Sahih:
And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers." ([21] Al-Anbya : 97)
