فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِّيْثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْاَنْۢبِيَاۤءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَّقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوْبُنَا غُلْفٌ ۗ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًاۖ ( النساء: ١٥٥ )
Fabimā Naqđihim Mīthāqahum Wa Kufrihim Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Qatlihim Al-'Anbiyā'a Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Qawlihim Qulūbunā Ghulfun Bal Ţaba`a Allāhu `Alayhā Bikufrihim Falā Yu'uminūna 'Illā Qalīlāan. (an-Nisāʾ 4:155)
A. S. F. Bubenheim and N. Elyas:
(Verflucht sind sie) dafür, daß sie ihr Abkommen brachen und Allahs Zeichen verleugneten und (daß sie) die Propheten zu Unrecht töteten und (daß sie) sagten; "Unsere Herzen sind verhüllt." - Nein! Vielmehr hat Allah sie für ihren Unglauben versiegelt; darum glauben sie nur wenig, ([4] an-Nisa (Die Frauen) : 155)
English Sahih:
And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped" [i.e., sealed against reception]. Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few. ([4] An-Nisa : 155)

(Sie wurden bestraft) infolge ihrer Verletzung ihres Gelöbnisses, ihres Kufrs ALLAHs Ayat gegenüber, ihres Tötens der Propheten zu Unrecht und ihrer Aussage; "Unsere Herzen sind verhüllt." - Nein, sondern ALLAH hat sie versiegelt, wegen ihres Kufrs, so verinnerlichen sie den Iman nicht, außer wenigen (von ihnen). -
