يَمُنُّوْنَ عَلَيْكَ اَنْ اَسْلَمُوْا ۗ قُلْ لَّا تَمُنُّوْا عَلَيَّ اِسْلَامَكُمْ ۚبَلِ اللّٰهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ اَنْ هَدٰىكُمْ لِلْاِيْمَانِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ( الحجرات: ١٧ )
Yamunnūna `Alayka 'An 'Aslamū Qul Lā Tamunnū `Alayya 'Islāmakum Bal Allāhu Yamunnu `Alaykum 'An Hadākum Lil'īmāni 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna. (al-Ḥujurāt 49:17)
A. S. F. Bubenheim and N. Elyas:
Sie halten es dir als Wohltat vor, daß sie Muslime geworden sind. Sag; Haltet mir nicht eure (Annahme des) Islams als Wohltat vor. Nein! Vielmehr hält Allah euch die Wohltat vor, daß Er euch zum Glauben geleitet hat, wenn ihr wahrhaftig seid. ([49] al-Hugurat (Die Gemächer) : 17)
English Sahih:
They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted IsLam. Say, "Do not consider your IsLam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." ([49] Al-Hujurat : 17)
