Al-Hijr Verse 31

but not Iblîs,[[ See footnote for {2:34}. ]] who refused to prostrate with the others.

except Iblīs, who refused to be with those who prostrated.

save Iblis; he refused to be among those bowing.

But not Iblis: he refused to bow down like the others.

But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates.

Not so Iblis; he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.

except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated.

Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers.

Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated.

but not Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated.

But Iblis did not; he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.

But Iblîs (though he was separately bidden to do the same, did not). He stubbornly refused to be with those who submit.

Except Satan/Iblis , refused/hated that he be with the prostrating.

Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated.

Save Iblis, who refused to be among the prostrate.

Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators.

So the angels made obeisance, all of them together --

But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance.

Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate.

except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration.

except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves.

Except Iblis (Shaytan) - he refused to be among the prostrate.

But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves.

Except for Satan. He refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.

except Ibls, the father of the jinn -- he was [standing] among the angels; he refused to be among those prostrating.

قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
