Al-Hajj Verse 63

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, then the earth becomes green? Surely Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware.

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky whereupon the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware.

Hast thou not seen how that God has sent down out of heaven water, and in the morning the earth becomes green? God is All-subtle, All-aware.

Have you [Prophet] not considered how God sends water down from the sky and the next morning the earth becomes green? God is truly most subtle, all aware;

Beholdest thou not that Allah sendeth down water from the heaven and the earth becometh green? Verily Allah is subtile, Aware.

Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and forthwith the earth becomes clothed with green? for Allah is He Who understands the finest mysteries, and is well-acquainted (with them).

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the sky whereby the earth turns green? Verily Allah is Subtle, All-Aware.

Do you not see how God sends down water from the sky and in the morning the earth turns green? Truly God is benign and well-informed.

Did you not see that Allah sent down water from the sky, so the earth became green at morn? Indeed Allah is Pure, Aware.

Have you not regarded that Allah sends down water from the sky, whereupon the earth turns green? Indeed Allah is all-attentive, all-aware.

Do you not consider that God sends down from the sky water, and behold, the earth turns green. Surely, God is All-Subtle (penetrating to the most minute dimensions of all things and accomplishing what He wills by ways that are not quite tangible), All-Aware.

Do you not see that Allâh sends down water from the clouds and the (dry) earth becomes green? Verily, Allâh is the Knower of subtleties, the All-Aware.

Do you not see/understand that God descended from the sky water, so the land/Earth becomes green, that God (is) kind/courteous , expert/experienced?

Did you not see that Allah sent down water from the sky, so the earth became green at morn? Indeed Allah is Pure, Aware.

That is because Allah, He is the Truth (or Reality), and that whereon they call instead of Him is the False, and because Allah, He is the High, the Great.

See you not that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allah is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.

That is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon besides Him -- that is the falsehood, and because Allah -- He is the High, the Great.

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud so the earth becomes green? Surely Allah is Benignant, Aware.

Seest thou not how Allah sendeth down water from the sky and then the earth becometh green upon the morrow? Lo! Allah is Subtile, Aware.

Have you not seen that God has sent water from the sky and has made the earth green all over. He is Kind and All-aware.

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the sky and in the morning the earth becomes green? Allah is Subtle, the Aware.

See you not that Allah sends down water from the sky, and then the earth becomes green Verily, Allah is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.

Have you not seen how God sends down water from sky, whereupon the earth becomes green? God is unfathomable, and all aware;

Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, and the land becomes green? God is Kind and Aware.

Have you not seen, realised, that God sends down water, rain, from the heaven whereupon the earth turns green, with plants -- and this [too] is a sign of His power. Indeed God is Subtle, in dealing with His servants, when He brings forth plants through water, Aware, of what is in their hearts when the rain is delayed.

Signs of the Power of Allah

Allah tells;

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء



See you not that Allah sends down water from the sky,

This is a further sign of His might and power; that he sends the winds to drive the clouds which deliver rain to the barren land where nothing grows, land which is dry, dusty and desiccated.

فَإِذَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَأءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ

but when We send down water on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells. (22;5)

فَتُصْبِحُ الاَْرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً

and then the earth becomes green,

This indicates the sequence of events and how everything follows on according to its nature.

This is like the Ayah;

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً

Then We made the Nutfah into a clot, then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh. (23;14)

It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that between each stage there are forty days.

Allah's saying,
فَتُصْبِحُ الاَْرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً
(and then the earth becomes green),

means, it becomes green after being dry and lifeless.

It was reported from some of the people of Al-Hijaz that the land turns green after rainfall.

And Allah knows best.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ



Verily, Allah is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.

He knows what seeds are in the various regions of the earth, no matter how small they are. Nothing whatsoever is hidden from Him. Each of those seeds receives its share of water and begins to grow, as Luqman said;

يبُنَىَّ إِنَّهَأ إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُنْ فِى صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِى السَّمَـوَتِ أَوْ فِى الاٌّرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ

"O my son!

If it be equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle, Well-Aware. (31;16)

And Allah says;

أَلاَّ يَسْجُدُواْ للَّهِ الَّذِى يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِى السَّمَـوَتِ وَالاٌّرْضِ
so they do not worship Allah, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth. (27;25)

وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلاَّ يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِى ظُلُمَـتِ الاٌّرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلاَّ فِى كِتَـبٍ مُّبِينٍ

not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record. (6;59)

وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الاٌّرْضِ وَلَا فِى السَّمَأءِ وَلَا أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلا أَكْبَرَ إِلاَّ فِى كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ

And nothing is hidden from your Lord, the weight of a speck of dust on the earth or in the heaven. Not what is less than that or what is greater than that but it is (written) in a Clear Record. (10;61
