وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَبِالرَّسُوْلِ وَاَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَۗ وَمَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ  ( النور: ٤٧ )

wayaqūlūna
وَيَقُولُونَ
And they say
āmannā
ءَامَنَّا
"We believe
bil-lahi
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
wabil-rasūli
وَبِٱلرَّسُولِ
and in the Messenger
wa-aṭaʿnā
وَأَطَعْنَا
and we obey"
thumma
ثُمَّ
Then
yatawallā
يَتَوَلَّىٰ
turns away
farīqun
فَرِيقٌ
a party
min'hum
مِّنْهُم
of them
min
مِّنۢ
after
baʿdi
بَعْدِ
after
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَۚ
that
wamā
وَمَآ
And not
ulāika
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those
bil-mu'minīna
بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
(are) believers

Wa yaqooloona aamannaa billaahi wa bir Rasooli wa ata'naa summa yatawallaa fareequm minhum mim ba'di zaalik; wa maaa ulaaa'ika bilmu'mineen (an-Nūr 24:47)

Sahih International:

But they [i.e., the hypocrites] say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey"; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers. (An-Nur [24] : 47)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

They say, “We have believed in Allah and in the messenger, and have adopted obedience”, then a group from them goes back after all this. Those are no believers.
