Al-Furqan Verse 33

Whenever they bring you an argument, We come to you with the right refutation and the best explanation.

Whenever they bring you an argument, We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition.

They cannot put any argument to you without Our bringing you the truth and the best explanation.

And they come not unto thee with a similitude but We bring thee the truth and an excellent interpretation.

And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof).

And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner,

There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation.

And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it.

They do not bring you any representation but that We bring you the truth [in reply to them] and the best exposition.

And also, they never come to you with any (false) argument (to taunt and provoke you) but that We provide you with the truth (to counter their false arguments) and a better exposition (which enables and deepens understanding).

They bring you no parable (by way of an objection) but We have provided you with the true fact and perfect interpretation (of it, in answer to the objection beforehand).

And they do not come to you with an example except We came to you with the truth and (a) better explanation/interpretation .

And they will never bring you an example, but We shall bring you a true narration and better than it.

Those who disbelieve said, "Why is not the Quran sent down to him all at once (in one piece)?" It is revealed as it is so that We may strengthen your heart therewith, and We have rehearsed it to you gradually, in well-arranged stages.

And no example or similitude do they bring (to oppose or to find fault in you or in this Quran), but We reveal to you the truth (against that similitude or example), and the better explanation thereof.

And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Qur’an been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby and We have arranged it well in arranging.

And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance.

And they bring thee no similitude but We bring thee the Truth (as against it), and better (than their similitude) as argument.

We will support you with the Truth and the best interpretation whenever the infidels argue against you.

They do not bring to you any parable but that which We bring to you is the truth and better in explanation.

And no example or parable do they bring, but We reveal to you the truth, and the better explanation thereof.

Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations.

Whatever argument they come to you with, We provide you with the truth, and a better exposition.

And they do not bring you any similitude, to invalidate your mission, but that We bring you the truth, that refutes it, and [what is] better [as] exposition, explanation.

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ

And no example or similitude do they bring,

This means no arguments or doubts,

إِلاَّ جِيْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا



but We reveal to you the truth, and the better explanation thereof.

They do not say anything in an attempt to oppose the truth, but We respond to them with the truth of that same matter, more clearly and more eloquently than anything they say.

Abu Abdur-Rahman An-Nasa'i recorded that Ibn Abbas said,

"The Qur'an was sent down all at once to the first heaven on Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Power), then it was revealed over twenty years."

Allah says;

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلاَّ جِيْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا

And no example or similitude do they bring, but We reveal to you the truth, and the better explanation thereof.

and;

وَقُرْءانًا فَرَقْنَاهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَى مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَـهُ تَنْزِيلً

And (it is) a Qur'an which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages. (17;106)

Then Allah tells us about the terrible state of the disbelievers when they are raised on the Day of Resurrection and gathered into Hell;

الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ أُوْلَيِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلً
