Ali 'Imran Verse 98

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O People of the Book! Why do you deny the revelations of Allah, when Allah is a Witness to what you do?”

Say, “O People of the Book, why do you reject the verses of Allah when Allah is Witness to all what you do?”

Say: 'People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in the signs of God? Surely God is witness of the things you do.'

Say, ‘People of the Book, why do you reject God’s revelations? God witnesses everything you do.’

Say thou: O People of the Book! wherefore disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, whereas Allah is witness of that which ye work!

Say; "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?"

Say: 'People of the Book! Why do you reject the signs of Allah when Allah is witness to all that you do?'

Say: "O people of the Book, why do you reject the word of God when God is a witness to all that you do?"

Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “O People given the Book(s)! Why do you not believe in the verses (or signs) of Allah, whereas your deeds are being witnessed by Allah?”

Say, ‘O People of the Book! Why do you deny the signs of Allah, while Allah is witness to what you do?’

Say: "O People of the Book! Why do you conceal and disbelieve in God’s Revelations, God being witness to all that you do?"

Say, `O you people of the Scripture! Why do you deny the Messages of Allâh, while Allâh is Witness to all that you do.´

Say: "You The Book`s people, why do you disbelieve with God`s signs/verses/evidences, and God (is an) honest witness on what you make/do/work?"

Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), “O People given the Book(s)! Why do you not believe in the verses (or signs) of Allah, whereas your deeds are being witnessed by Allah?”

Say, "O people of the Book! Why do you turn from the way of Allah him who believes, craving to make it crooked, when you are yourselves witnesses (of Allah´s covenant)? But Allah is not unmindful of what you do."

Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allah is Witness to what you do?"

In it are clear signs: (It is) the Place of Abraham; and whoever enters it is safe; and pilgrimage to the House is a duty which men own to Allah -- whoever can find a way to it. And whoever disbelieves, surely Allah is above need of the worlds.

Say: O followers of the Book! why do you disbelieve in the communications of Allah? And Allah is a witness of what you do.

Say: O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when Allah (Himself) is Witness of what ye do?

(Muhammad), ask the People of the Book, "Why do you deny the revelations of God when He is Well-Aware of your dealings?".

Say: 'People of the Book, why do you disbelieve the verses of Allah? Surely, Allah is witness to all that you do'

Say: "O People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah, while Allah is Witness to what you do"

Say, "People of the Book, why do you reject God's revelations when God is witness to all that you do?"

Say, “O People of the Scripture, why do you reject the Revelations of God, when God witnesses what you do?”

Say; `O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in God's verses, that is, the Qur'n, when God is Witness of what you do?', and will requite you for it?

Chastising the People of the Book for Their Disbelief and Blocking the Path of Allah

Allah says,

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِأيَاتِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ



Say;"O People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah, while Allah is Witness to what you do!"

In this Ayah Allah criticizes the disbelieving People of the Book for refusing the truth, rejecting Allah's Ayat and hindering those who seek to believe from His path, although they know that what the Messenger was sent with is the truth from Allah
